Durtis is the kind of guy that just seems to have a kin-ship with his motorcycles. After riding Karlitos' 900 RR he bought a CBR 600 in the spring of 2001 (that now belongs to Princess). He learned quite a bit of riding skills while on that thing and it shows. In the early spring of 2006 he sold the 600, shopped every damn bike shop in Minnesota and Ohio (and I think Wisconsin) finally finding his new love - the 2006 YZF R1 Raven. I gotta say, that's a tough machine... |

Background:
Karlito, the guy that started the domino effect that led to Durtis, Jason, Dale and Dr. Wong to get a bike. Karlito had a CBR 900RR once upon a time and one day let Durtis ride it. Since then Karlito has gone from the 900 RR to an 04 YZF R1 to the custom ride he has now made by Ghost Rider, Inc. I think he still yearns for the opportunity to ride the R1 again though. |

Durtis let him ride his bike. Guess who got hooked then... With bike fever setting in firmly Hahno found himself in possession of a 1998 CBR 600. This little yellow number was picked up at a discount because the guy that had it before him pulled it back ever so slightly while riding a weenie and crashed it. Soon after buying it he started to doctor it up in the most effective and economical way you can - stickers! :) Since then Hahno sold that bike to Dr. Wong and bought an '00 RC51. It's a tight machine to say the least. Future plans are to step it up just a touch to the CBR 1000 RR. |

Pete grew up on a motorcycle. At the age of 11 he started in on motocross riding mini-bikes around. At the age of 12 he got his first bike, a little Yamaha 50 (no, not a YZ 50). Well, that little bugger took a long time to kill off but it lasted him a good five years. A little later in life he picked up an older Yamaha just to putz around on. That bike had some issues though and had to go.Then out of no-where there it was. Sitting in the sun, gleaming like a sweaty stripper in a spotlight. a 2001 Triumph Speed Master - for sale! "Mine" he says and he brought it home. That was about two years ago and he's been happy with it ever since. |

Durtis strikes again... Just after getting his endorsement he let Dale take his 600 for a poke. Hooked... The following spring Dale picked up his YZF 600R and managed to scare himself silly about 200 times. Well that was in 2003 and recently Dale stepped up to a 2004 Shift-Red Yamaha R1. |

Dr. Wong has already owned two bikes. She bought Hahno's first bike (the yellow 600) then moved over to onto Durtis's 600 that he sold for the R1. I think she's content with this bike though. She'll stay on this one for a while then she'll get on a liter bike and wanna start racing everything. |

This is the second year (as of 2009) that Char has been riding with us. She did have a Buell Blast in 2008. Char took to the whole motorcycle thing like a duck to water. How fitting that the two-wheeled-lawnmower went bye-bye when she stepped way up to a new "Duc".In late 2008 Char bought a 2009 Ducati Monster 696. Not only is that one nice ride but it's also the first Ducati in the Hard-Ass fleet. So be looking for us on one of our rides this year and check this bike out. You'll know it when you see it; it's the only one that honks in Italian. |

Heidi got her endorsment in 2006 and has been riding every chance she gets.She is riding the yellow 600 that started with Hahno, went to Dr. Wong and then Heidi-ho. Yeah, that bike gets around. But that's not a bad thing because it still runs really well. |
